What's the difference between Reserve & Collect and Click & Collect?

At Carbase, we're always looking for ways to make the car buying process as quick and easy for our customers as possible. As a result of our drive to make buying your next car fast and simple, we've introduced Reserve & Collect. But what makes Reserve & Collect different from Click & Collect, and how does it make car buying that much easier?

Reserve & Collect

The Reserve and Collect process is largely similar to Click & Collect, except you don't buy the car outright initially. When you see the car you like and you click on 'Reserve', you'll be invited to pay a refundable £99 reservation fee which takes the car off sale and we'll hold it for your approval.

The car will be marked as "Reserved" on our website, you can relax in the knowledge that nobody is going to buy it out from under you! This gives you time to arrange your finance if you require it, to get a valuation for any part exchange you might have, and to make sure you're able to book your test drive at a time to suit you. When you arrive, the car will be ready for you to examine and to test drive to make sure you're happy with it. When you decide it's the right car for you, you can complete the transaction effortlessly and be driving back home in your new car before you know it.

Click & Collect

Click & Collect for buying your next car is the same as when you use it to buy groceries at a supermarket. You simply choose what you want, buy it online, and then go to pick it up when you're ready. At Carbase however we prefer to offer our customers the Reserve and Collect service. This ensures we're able to allow our customers to thoroughly examine their chosen used vehicle and take it for a test drive before committing to purchasing it.

Our new Express Service

We're soon to be introducing Carbase Express, that is open to appointments only. This will allow you to take full advantage of the Reserve & Collect options we offer. The process of buying your car through our Carbase Express service will be as streamlined as possible, taking all of the waiting and frustration out of the car buying experience. All you need to do is reserve your chosen car, turn up and make sure it's right for you, and then complete the sale. That's all there is to it! With that done, you can pick up your keys and paperwork and drive away!

Our Reserve & Collect process applies to both the cars and the vans we have for sale at Carbase|Vanbase. When you reserve your chosen vehicle, you'll have three working days to test drive it and make your decision. If you like it, you can drive it home. If you don't like it, you'll get your £99 back and the vehicle is relisted for sale. It's as simple as that!
