It's an exciting experience buying your next car, but it can also be a daunting one if not armed with all the information you need. Regardless of what car you're buying, it's going to be an investment, and you'll understandably want to know everything about the car at hand before taking the plunge.

There are plenty of considerations that you'll need to take on board and while, yes, there's a lot to consider when purchasing a car, the In-Store App will make this process surprisingly easy!

How do I use the Carbase In-Store App?

Getting started is really easy. All you need to do to access the web-based app is scan one of the QR coded posters in the Carbase showroom or visit www.carbase.co.uk/app on your smartphone, and follow these simple steps!

Step 1- Enter the registration

You can enter the registration of the car in front of you in two ways. If you'd like to input the registration manually, simply enter it into the field on the screen and press 'Lookup Vehicle'.

Alternatively, you can take a photo of the car's registration, and let the app's registration recognition technology do the rest. Just press the 'Plate Recognition' button at the bottom of the page.

You will be prompted to rotate your phone left, and then to open the camera on your smart phone. Simply snap a photo of the number plate on the car you'd like to know more about! The registration technology will identify the exact car that you're standing in front of in a matter of seconds.

Step 2- Confirm it's the correct car

Once you've taken a photo, you'll just need to confirm that the registration on your screen is correct.

Step 3- All the details are yours!

Voila! Everything you need to know about the car right in front of you in the forecourt is in your hands.

Not only will you be able to view basic information about the car in question, but you'll even have the option to request a test drive, or even hold the car if you like what you see!

To make things even easier, by clicking on the 'heart' icon, you can save the car to your wishlist so that you can do an easy side-by-side comparison with any other cars that have caught your eye.
