Paving The Way For Apprentices

As part of our ongoing relationship with Weston-super-Mare College we recently hosted twelve students at an informal open day event.

The students, who are in the process of completing their Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (IMI Diploma), were treated to a spread of snacks and hot drinks before watching a brief, yet informative, presentation about our business.

The goal of this event was to shed light on our ethos, to demonstrate a day-in-the-life of a Carbase Technician, and highlight the opportunities available to them through our commitment to their continual development, and ultimately their success.

After the presentation we invited the students to ask any questions they may have and then set off on a guided tour of our facilities, which included an informal chat with our most recent apprentice, Tom.

Group HR Manager, Emily Chapple, said "The Apprenticeship programme is a key part of the Carbase Academy's drive and commitment, in conjunction with Weston College, to attract, develop and retain talent for the future"

The success of Tom, who graduated in October, really highlights the impact of our partnership with Weston College, and what a positive driving force it is for the employment of young Technicians in the South-West.

At Carbase we recognise that our success is due to the determination, passion, and efforts of our people. We want to make sure that we reward this hard work by offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
