New Partnership with Above and Beyond - Bristol Children's Hospital

We are delighted to announce that we have partnered up with Above and Beyond, the local charity raising funds for the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. Bristol Children's Hospital is extremely busy, with over 96,000 children coming through its doors every year. There are 170 beds spread across 14 specialist wards including neurology, oncology, and intensive care. The catchment area for the hospital stretches across the whole of the south west of England and in to South Wales.

This year Carbase were involved with the Auto Trader 'Graduate Scheme'. We competed against several other companies with the aim to buy, prepare, and sell a car with the quickest turnaround. The car was acquired within a budget from one of our trusted sources, then put through to Carbase's pricing team who worked closely with the graduate students to discuss the advertising and price of the vehicle. It was then published on our website and third party sites with prep pictures while it underwent it's RAC inspection, professional valet and turntable photoshoot. Along with updating the advert with the car's new images, the price moved to keep in check with the market. We are happy to announce that Carbase and our graduate team won the competition, and that the car was also sold along with a range of products including finance.

We helped to raise £1,500 and the Bristol Children's Hospital are delighted that we will be funding the craft materials for all of their wards. Play is incredibly important for children whilst in hospital as their normal routine is disrupted. Many children do not understand why they are in hospital and play helps them to become more at ease with unfamiliar surroundings. Bristol Children's Hospital are incredibly lucky to have 'play specialists' on every ward, they are an instrumental part of the team that ensure every child is well looked after. The NHS do not cover play equipment for children, so things like teddy bears, games and craft equipment are provided by charities.

Our visit to the wards was an exceptional experience and we are very happy to be supporting such an amazing cause.
