Carbase raise funds for Bristol Children's Hospital with an additional sweet touch!

Here at Carbase we are passionate about giving back to our community, which is why we are extremely proud to continue our partnership this year with Above and Beyond, the Bristol based Charity who raise funds for local Hospitals.

Late last year, team Carbase celebrated and enjoyed the Christmas Party at Double Tree by Hilton's Cadbury House in Bristol. Suited and booted in their best, the gents were looking dashing while the girls were strutting their glamorous attire.

 

The annual game of 'Heads or Tails' gets all the staff joining in to show off their knowledge and win some prizes, along with raising money for the Bristol Children's Hospital. We have been raising funds throughout 2018, and with an amazing £1,530 raised at the Christmas Party, the year's total contributions have reached a heart-warming £4,618, which is simply magnificent!

The proceeds from the Christmas Party will go towards a new Bilirubin Monitor for the NICU department at St Michaels Hospital. These machines cost around £5,000 each and are used to diagnose Jaundice. Jaundice affects 60% of all new born babies in the UK and in certain cases can be very harmful if not treated. These Monitors help eliminate stressful blood tests and give instant diagnosis.

We took a trip to the Bristol Royal Children's Hospital to deliver the £1,530 cheque along with some eggs-tra sweet goodies... from soy-free, dairy free, nut free and gluten free, we ensured we had it covered so every child would be able to join in the Easter fun and have a smile on their face! We even had little Milky Bars for the youngest children!
