Contactless Home Delivery FAQ
Will I have a 14 Day Money Back Guarantee?
Yes!, all Carbase and Vanbase home delivery vehicles come with a 14 day money back guarantee which starts the first day after you take delivery. You can test drive your vehicle upto 20 miles in the first 14 days and if you aren't completely satisfied you can return the vehicle for a no quibble refund. If you drive beyond the 20 mile allowance that's no problem we will simply deduct £1 per mile for any extra miles travelled.
Can I view before delivery?
At this time you can view all of the details of a vehicle, it's photos and 360° imagery on our website. We can also arrange a live video viewing on a virtual appointment for your approval.
Am I able to test-drive a vehicle if I get home delivery?
You will have up to 14 days to decide if the vehicle is right for you when it is delivered to your home and a complimentary 20 mile home test drive. If it isn't right for you, you have 14 days in which to return it to us for a refund. We will simply deduct £1 for each mile driven above the 20 mile complimentary home test drive allowance and also for any damage incurred during the time the vehicle is in your possession.
What do I need to provide when arranging home delivery?
Please provide us with your photo ID, along with proof of address documentation such as a recent utility bill. You will also need to show our specialists your ID when your car is delivered.
How will Carbase ensure the delivery process is safe?
Our specialists are trained to follow strict regulations that ensure a clean and safe handover. Handovers will take place at a safe distance from you, and our specialists will wear personal protective equipment to provide further protection. They will also be able to answer your questions and explain your vehicle's features whilst respecting a social distancing policy if required.
Can I purchase a vehicle for someone else?
Unfortunately this is not possible as your delivery address must match the billing address of the person making the purchase. However, you are free to transfer the V5 to anyone you choose once you own the vehicle.
How do I sign for delivery?
Our specialists will need to sign digital documents once you have confirmed that you are happy at the end of delivery. With your consent they will sign these documents in front of you on your behalf. They will also take a photo of your new car or van at your delivery address as proof of handover for our records.
If I am self-isolating can you still deliver?
If you have no symptoms, are not in an at-risk group, and do not live with anyone who has symptoms then we are able to proceed with your delivery.
Self-isolation due to being in contact with someone with the virus, being unwell, or because you are in an at-risk group, means that we can not deliver to you at this time. You can still place a holding deposit on your vehicle of choice in order to secure it and we will work with you to arrange an alternative solution.
Do I need to insure my vehicle?
Yes, you will need to make sure you have the correct fully comprehensive insurance cover in place for your new vehicle. You will be responsible for any damage incurred while the vehicle is in your possession. If you choose to return the vehicle to us we will deduct the cost of repair for any damages.
How do I tax my vehicle?
To tax your vehicle you will need to head over to the DVLA website and enter your licence plate number and 12-digit V5 number. We will happily help you with this and send you your V5 number once we have confirmed your delivery details.
