Skydiving for Weston Hospicecare

Emma, Julie-Anne and Sarah faced their fears and jumped from 15,000ft in tandem skydives on July 12th 2014. They were supporting a prominent local charity, Weston Hospicecare and with the help and backing of Carbase, they aimed to raise £2,500 to assist this worthwhile cause.

The trio have all had their lives touched by cancer just like so many others, but with the support of charity events and the kind generosity of friends, family, staff members and the public we have done our bit to help the hospice and make the time left for cancer sufferers, patients with life limiting conditions and their families the best it can possibly be.

There were various fundraising events between December 2013 and July 2014, ranging from cake sales, afternoon tea, quiz nights, raffles and a skittles evening, plus many more. Thank you for all your donations. In the end over £3,500 was raised, smashing the target!

All funds raised were presented to Weston Hospicecare in August 2014.

To keep up with all of the fundraising events that Carbase take part in, there are updates and more pictures posted on both our Facebook and Twitter.

If you would like any further information regarding Weston Hospicecare you can find help and advice on their website.
