2016 oversaw our most successful Motoring Photographer of the Year competition yet, with the standard of entries increasing once again and us giving away £2000 to our winners!
The unenviable task of trying to picking just one winner from the host of amazing entries fell to 5 judges representing Carbase, the RAC and professional photographers alike.
The competition was divided into three categories which were Motion, Lifestyle and Close-up with the winner of each category receiving £500 and the overall winner of the competition receiving a further £500! We had dozens of entries across all three categories from all over the UK and the judges were spoilt for choice when it came to picking the winners.
Ultimately the winner was Stephen Newbold in the Lifestyle category with his incredible image of Nissan Figaros on a tour of Scotland for the iconic vehicle's 25th anniversary. A tough decision but a worthy winner nonetheless.
Take a look at all our winners and commended entries to see how excellent the photographs were and to whet your appetite for next year!
See you next year for Carbase Motoring Photographer of the Year 2017!
